Robert talks about unbound captives and bel ami
While out promoting The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Edward Cullen himself Robert Pattinson spoke about his future film plans that go beyond the popular vampire series. Former Twilght star Cam Gigandet gave up his fangs for a pair of stirrups with his next film and Pattinson plans on doing the same. Get ready to see your precious Edward go all Dances with Wolves in a Western!
Pattinson told inquiring minds about his upcoming feature entitled, Unbound Captives. It’s a film that’s completely different from anything else you’ve seen him in so take your visions of Cedric Diggory and Edward Cullen and chuck them out the window.
Ok, Pattinson may have gained a little respect from me for taking on another language for the movie. In the film he’ll star opposite Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman, so this will be a stark contrast to anything he’s ever done in Twilight. Therefore, we had to ask if he took on the role because it was so different from playing Mr. Cullen.
I’m going to be doing a movie called Bel Ami in February, and it’s an adaptation of Guy De Maupassant’s novel.
Speaking of time lines, when they hell can we expect to hear some news on Breaking Dawn? Eclipse is already in the bag, and Pattinson had this to say about the fourth vampire film.

I’m playing a kid who’s kidnapped by Comanches when he was 4 years old and brought up by them. My mother spends her entire time trying to find me and my sister, and when she finds us we can’t remember who she is or remember anything about the Western culture. I speak Comanche the whole movie so that will be really different from Edward [laughs].

No, I actually signed onto that after I had done Twilight in the summer just a couple of months after I finished, so it was really before anything had happened. I didn’t really think about it, it was just a cool script. It reminded me in a lot of ways of Giant, and that’s one of my favorite movies, so I think that’s why I responded to it.On another note, earlier this week we told you about the actor starring in a film with a rumored Nicole Kidman entitled, Bel Ami. He went on to give us a status update on the movie and when it will begin production.

I think the tentative time line for Breaking Dawn is next year I think. I don’t really know. They may well change that.

Robert Pattinson Confirms Fall 2010 Start for 'Breaking Dawn'
Rumors had been swirling about the last chapter in the Twilight Saga film franchise: would Breaking Dawn get greenlit or not? While everyone from Twilight producer Wyck Godfrey to star Kristen Stewart managed to stay tight-lipped about the unconfirmed sequel at today's New Moon press conference in Beverly Hills, our hopeful hearts got a piece of very big news about the film from none other than Robert Pattinson.
Answering the last question of the day, Rob shared his shooting schedule for 2010 – including, at least for now, filming the novel adaptation Bel Ami, the western Unbound Captives, and yes, Breaking Dawn.
"I think the tentative time for Breaking Dawn is fall of next year," Pattinson said, adding that Summit "may well change that."
"Depending on how things go I'm doing a movie called Bel Ami in February, which is an adaptation of a Guy de Maupassant novel," he continued. "And I'm doing, I hope, a Western with Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman called Unbound Captives sometime around there as well.
He described his role in Unbound Captives, which coincidentally will bring Pattinson in close contact again with Native American culture – not Quileute, but Comanche. "I'm playing a kid who is kidnapped by Comanches when he was four years old, and he is brought up by them. His mother spends her entire life trying to find me and my sister. When she finds us, we can't remember who she is and can't remember anything about the Western culture she grew up in. I speak Comanche the whole movie. You can't really speak more differently from Edward."
Of course, Breaking Dawn remains officially unconfirmed by Summit. Even screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg was mum on the subject when we spoke with her earlier this month. The hesitation concerning Breaking Dawn may involve the mature nature of its plot points and the rumored possibility of dividing it into two separate films. But if Pattinson's penciling Breaking Dawn into his schedule, then so are we.via: source
